Music Programs
Our heart is to train musically-adept and theologically-grounded musicians and worship leaders. We invite you to make God’s name glorious with us!

Our Music programs will train you in both robust theology and flexible musicianship.
We offer courses in worship leading, conducting, composing, music technology, music pedagogy, songwriting, music theory, and more. You will also benefit from individual music lessons and participation in our music ensembles:
Moody Music students have the opportunity to perform and lead worship at many on-campus events, such as Founder’s Week, Candlelight Carols, Missions Conference, and chapels. They also serve and perform in local churches around the Chicago area, and our ensembles take regular tours both domestically and internationally.
Communications Program
Our heart is to raise up theologically-trained communication professionals who know how to craft beautiful and authentic messages using a variety of mediums. Come and create with us!

Our BA in Communications is built on an integrated media model. Our flexible curriculum allows students to train broadly across mediums or hone their skill in any one of the following areas:
Speech and Performance
Writing and Journalism
Video Production
Audio Production
Organizational Communication and Leadership
Visual Design and Photography

All Communications students spend at least one semester on one of our media practicum teams. These teams are student-led and faculty-advised, giving students excellent experience in teamwork, leadership, project management, and problem solving. Each practicum team produces signature, professional-quality media.
In January 2023, we opened our new media lab in the Chapman Center of our Chicago campus. This state-of-the-art space includes our student radio station (XN Radio), spaces for team meetings, performances and events, and multiple studios equipped with technology for video and audio recording and editing, photography, and design.
