Daniel Mattix

Associate Professor of Music and Conductor of Moody Campus Orchestra

Dr. Daniel Mattix enjoys a diverse career as a church musician, conductor, composer, songwriter and worship leader. He serves as Associate Professor of Music at Moody Bible Institute. In the music department, Dr. Mattix teaches a variety of classes in composition, songwriting, digital music, theory, and church music, in addition to applied lessons, and serves as conductor of the Moody Campus Orchestra. His compositions have been performed in at least 35 states and 10 countries. Dr. Mattix is also active as a worship leader in the local church in the years since graduating from MBI. He and his wife (an MBI alumna herself) enjoy making music with their two children and also maintain a private music school in the western suburbs of Chicago.
