Moody Creative Ensemble
A creative home for musicians who want to build, explore, and grow.
The Moody Creative Ensemble (MCE) is a small, selective group where musicians, songwriters, composers, arrangers, and producers go beyond performing music - we also help create it.
Part contemporary music team and part creative lab, MCE brings together a rhythm section with select strings, winds, percussion, and other musicians to workshop original songs and arrangements, lead worship, record new projects, and collaborate with other creatives at Moody and throughout Chicago.
You’ll hear MCE in chapel, recording projects, special events, and Candlelight Carols, where the ensemble performs alongside professional musicians from across Chicagoland.
Our music ranges from contemporary Christian music and creative worship arrangements to jazz, pop, instrumental music, film music, musical theater, and other music made by Christian artists beyond the church platform.
MCE carries forward Moody’s instrumental music legacy, first established in 1970, while creating new goals for the next generation of innovative musicians.
